N2 - Digital transformation is a process of cultural change that has impacted all spheres of human endeavor, which is why it has become a strategic component to guarantee the success and competitiveness of all types of organizations; In this same category is leadership, considered by many scholars as the true differentiating factor and developer of competitive advantages. Higher education institutions do not escape this reality, and for this reason, given the relevance of this research topic, this work has been set as a central objective, to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the production of scientific articles that address the relationship between the leadership, higher education and digital transformation in the Web of Science database, in order to identify the state of the art of knowledge, the contributions on the subject and future research lines of development. The methodology used is documentary review through bibliometric indicators that show trends in scientific production. Among the most significant results, it can be mentioned that it was found that digital transformation is an emerging issue, in sustained growth and scarcely addressed in the field of higher education, so it represents an opportunity to develop research on the subject.
