Resumen
A proposal of Mentoring with the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) for Introduction to Engineering, a first-semester course in Electrical Engineering, is developed considering a descriptive methodology for design. Previous cohort experience, student profile, institutional educational model and diagnosis through SWOT analysis are used to define strategic cores, whose result supports the proposal. It is concluded, regarding the results of the experimental application and surveys to freshmen 2018, they express satisfaction with the methodology used, with a performance comparable to the previous cohorts.
