Resumen
The commitment of universities to the demands of globalized markets, as well as the proposals of the United Nations in the Sustainable Development Goals, forces them to redirect and train change agents who act forcefully in organizational deci-sions. The objective is to analyze the scientific production that has been developed in Latin America, on University Social Re-sponsibility (USR) to improve its understanding and knowledge creation. A quantitative and cross-sectional method was used, through bibliometrics and various inclusion criteria applied in scientific journals obtained from Ibero-American databases, identifying 305 articles. The results allow us to identify the peaks in the publications, the most popular journals, the most productive authors, methods, designs and their scope. Finally, nine approaches are proposed that would facilitate the analysis for future research. It is concluded that there is interest from the scientific community on the subject, so it is recommended to continue with investigations of this type that provide a timely follow-up on the subject.
