Resumen

The present invention relates to method for preparing activated carbon from wheat straw by a rapid microwave digestion method. This process includes wheat straw powder which is renewable and green raw material is crushed and dried with hot air oven. The microwave digestion optimization temperatures are carried out with various temperature and timing. In this adopting process activated carbon is prepared rapidly without generating airborne particulate at 120oC within only 10 minutes of time. The method belongs to the technical field of agriculture. This produced activated carbon having good decolouring and absorbent capacity to methelene blue from industrial waste water. This agricultural waste derived activated carbon has the advantages of a low cost, rapid and simple operation process and large-scale production suitability and strong market competitiveness.
