Resumen
This article tackles the cultural distance between the indigenous towns and the westrn society since the colony to our days through the concept of time and space (ensue and territory), using the water concept as a vital and ritual element. It is analyzed the oportunity and the risk that globalization traces to the Andine communities, offering a proposal based on Sergio Boiser's theory, that may resolve the dilema between globalization and the endógeno development in the indigenous society. It is pointed out the impotance of the new cultural geography as a discipline to understand the relevance of territory in non-occidental societies and cultures as the Andine culture.
