Resumen
The implementation of agenda 2030 for sustainable development represents a great challenge for all organizations in any context, and obviously for educational institutions. For this reason, this paper seeks to propose five key ideas that contribute to the strengthening of governance in cuban institutions of higher education and to facilitate the aforementioned implementation; using the techniques of documentary analysis and bibliographic review. It recognizes the convergence between the experience of the european higher education Area and the objective 4 of Sustainable Development, and identifies the methodological and practical gaps to be overcome according to the cuban socioeconomic and educational context.
