Resumen

La muerte por suicidio en Chile no es solo un problema local, a nivel global se sufre este fenómeno, donde detectarlo y tratarlo a tiempo es fundamental. El presente trabajo fue desarrollado e implementado en el Centro de Atención y Actividades Prácticas de Psicología de la Universidad de Tarapacá en Iquique, un Sistema Experto basado en reglas, con el propósito de ayudar a la toma de decisiones de los estudiantes de psicología que realizan sus prácticas profesionales en el centro, en casos clínicos de riesgo suicida. Esto permite la detección temprana de pacientes que presentan esta conducta y evaluar el riesgo de suicidio. Los resultados de este trabajo demuestran la capacidad de respuesta del sistema experto desarrollado, imitando la acción de un especialista en este caso detectando y evaluando el riesgo de suicidio en pacientes en consultas en el centro psicológico, logrando un buen nivel de efectividad.
