Resumen
The objective of the article is to identify subjective experiences about the migratory process of Afro-Colombian women and their labor insertion in Chilean territory. The research process is based on a qualitative design with a critical approach, in which 42 Afro-Latin women living in the north of the country were interviewed. In the analysis of the findings, we find traits of xenophobia; labor abuse; discrimination, prejudices, and stereotypes, associated with the tendency of the Chilean culture to overestimate the European characteristics over the Latin American autochthonous traits. At the same time, a positive assessment is found of subjective experiences of collaboration between peers, support groups such as FASIC - PROSIR and groups of Colombians, and on behalf of people from the host society.
