Resumen

The objective of this article is to analyze from a bibliometric point of view the evolution of the publications that have been generated regarding service learning between 2000 and 2019. The methodology used was to retrieve data from the core collection of the ISI Web of Science (WoS) database, being analyzed using RStudio software and the statistical package Bibliometrix, together with its web interface Biblioshiny. The results show that in the last 5 years, publications on this topic have increased by 60%. In addition, the scientific journals, universities and authors with the most relevance in the subject are from the United States. Latin America shows a low scientific productivity in Service Learning (SL). Among the Conclusions, it is evident that the country that dominates research in the field is the United States, followed by Spain and South Africa. Latin America shows a low level of productivity in the subject, which constitutes at the same time an opportunity. Originality in this work shows in a concrete way the development of scientific productivity in service learning in the last 10 years.
