Resumen
The aim of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Place Attachment Questionnarie (Hidal-go and Hernández, 2001) and Sense of Community Index 2 (Chavis et al., 2008). A non-experimental research was car-ried out, the instruments were applied in two neighborhoods of different characteristics, a traditional neighborhood and an emerging neighborhood, defined based on the permanence in the place of its inhabitants. Participants were 161 adults (mean age 41.47 years SD= 15.9; 50.3% women and 49.06% men). The results show a moderate convergence (r= 0.55) be-tween both questionnaires, observing positive and statistically significant correlations between most instrument dimensions. In addition, the ability to discriminate scales (Place Attach-ment, p= 0.02 and Sense of Community Index 2, p<0.00) between groups with different levels of permanence in place is confirmed.
