Resumen
Universities have been built as institutions that have research among their most significant functions, whose results must be appropriately disseminated in so-called scientific journals; but publishing in these media has been transformed in a process that is each time more demanding given their quality. The purpose of this paper is to present the opinion of the main actors in the editorial process (editors, directors, committee members and referees), regarding the errors incurred in submitting articles to indexed scientific journals, with the goal of offering authors guidelines that help them to more appropriately present their respective collaborations. To this end, a Likert scale questionnaire was applied to an intended sample of 203 experts from 134 journals in 12 countries of Ibero-America. Results show that researchers need training on work presentation, so they may continue with higher levels the styling that scientific communication requires, because they do not only make fundamental mistakes, but there is also no rigorousness in the observation of detail and guidelines.
