Resumen
This study aims to explore what dimensions and/or variables influence the level of satisfaction of students. To this end, we worked with a sample of 87 middle school students that participated in the University Admission Test in Northern Chile, to whom a questionnaire specifically design for this exploratory study was applied. The gathered data was statistically analyzed by means of a multiple regression model, considering satisfaction in school as the dependent variable and, degree of justice, degree of collaboration by teachers and degree of collaborative relation among students, as the independent variables. Results showed that justice in school, teachers' collaboration, and collaboration among students explain 49.3% of the variance of student satisfaction in the analyzed sample, this proportion being statistically significant. Finally, it could be concluded that, although this is an exploratory study and, thus, the results cannot be extrapolated, it reveals findings that have theoretical relevance and contribute with empirical evidence of a subject scarcely studied in Chile.
