Resumen

Esta carta presenta los resultados de una combinación de búsquedas para la producción de pares de bosones de Higgs utilizando 126–140 fb−1 de datos de colisiones protón-protón a √𝑠 = 13 TeV, registrados con el detector ATLAS. Con un nivel de confianza del 95% (CL), el límite superior de la tasa de producción es 2,9 veces la predicción del modelo estándar (SM), con un límite esperado de 2,4 suponiendo que no se produce ningún par de bosones de Higgs. Las restricciones sobre el modificador de autoacoplamiento del bosón de Higgs 𝜅𝜆=𝜆𝐻⁡𝐻⁡𝐻/𝜆SM𝐻⁡𝐻⁡𝐻, y el modificador de acoplamiento cuártico 𝐻⁡𝐻⁡𝑉⁢𝑉 𝜅2⁢𝑉=𝑔𝐻⁡𝐻⁡𝑉⁢𝑉⁡/𝑔SM𝐻⁡𝐻⁡𝑉⁢𝑉, se derivan individualmente, fijando el otro parámetro a su valor SM. Los intervalos CL del 95% observados son −1,2 < 𝜅𝜆 < 7,2 y 0,6 < 𝜅2⁢𝑉 <1,5, respectivamente, mientras que los intervalos esperados son −1,6 < 𝜅𝜆 < 7,2 y 0,4 < 𝜅2⁢𝑉 < 1,6 en el caso del SM. Las restricciones obtenidas para varios parámetros de interacción dentro de la teoría del campo efectivo del Higgs son las más sólidas hasta la fecha, lo que ofrece información sobre posibles desviaciones de las predicciones del SM.
