N2 - With the understanding that in the Andes festivals and ceremonies link, celebrate and engage the resumption of life (Rengifo 2006), we approach the relationship that Aymara families maintain with the dead from the review of different ethnographic studies, as well as conversations with translocal (rural-urban) and transnational Aymara families from Chile and Bolivia respectively. Specifically, following the work of Tim Ingold (2012, 2015, 2017, 2018), we allude to the celebration and commemoration of the dead, as part of the weaving of a meshwork of human and more-than-human kinships that teach us that visiting them and celebrating them festively configures a continuous and open-ended knot amidst a relational universe that dissolves the rural/urban, mountain range/sea dichotomies, among others, in a space-time of correspondences.
