Resumen

The Aculops lycopersici(Tryon, 1917) (Acari: Eriophyidae) (= Tomato russet mite), was reported for the first time on tomato (Solanum lycopersicumL.) in Arica, Chile. Its damage was described and its geographic distribution was expanded.
