Abstract
The current context of diversity makes it necessary to incorporate pedagogical methodologies and practices capable of contributing to the educational development of all students, regardless of their characteristics. This is where Initial Teacher Training plays a central role, which constitutes a critical moment for teacher training. This article explores the treatment in the press of the relationship between FID and cultural diversity. It is important to corroborate that this relationship has been elaborated in the media in Chile, which shows that the relationship between FID and diversity is of public interest. The article is divided into two major parts: firstly, an analysis of documents with content on the current Chilean educational system in terms of initial teacher training and cultural diversity is developed. Secondly, documents that include information obtained from the media regarding initial teacher training and cultural diversity are analyzed. This second part is divided into several sub-sections, which is made up of the categories that resulted from the analysis of the press on the matter.
