On the convergence rate of spectral approximation for the equations for nonhomogeneous asymmetric fluids

Abstract

We study the convergence rate of solutions of spectral semi-Galerkin approximations for the equations for the motion of a nonhomogeneous incompressible asymmetric fluid in a bounded domain. We find error estimates that are optimal in the H1-norm as well as improved estimates in the L2-norm.
