Abstract

Universities, in the context of the knowledge society and the internationalization of education, need to be efficient in their institutional management, achieve economic effectiveness, and maintain high levels of institutional quality. This research explores the relationship between economic effectiveness and institutional quality, specifically seeking to identify whether or not economic effectiveness has a statistically significant impact on institutional quality. To this end, a sample of 59 Chilean universities was analyzed using bivariate correlations and simple linear regression to statistically evaluate the relationship between economic effectiveness and institutional quality. The results demonstrate a significant relationship (p<0.05) between economic effectiveness and institutional quality in Chilean universities.
