Abstract

The combination of ionic liquids (ILs) and polymers resulting in some composites are the source of new smart materials by tuning the properties of polymers with ionic liquids via the functionalization of materials. Tailoring these materials leads to unique properties for numerous applications of interest. The present chapter includes the various ionic liquids-polymers composites materials based on conducting polymers with their applications in several fields including environmental, optoelectronics, and biomedical fields.
