Abstract

This article reflects on the meaning of theoretical, practical, and collaborative work in learning the knowledge and skills necessary for the exercise of citizenship. The methodology used is action research applied in a case study that involves instances of debate and critical thinking training in 160 students from a school with high indicators of vulnerability. The results sustain that the participative pedagogical experiences are remarkably positive since they generate a positive influence on the students' learning.
