Abstract

The purpose of this research was to reflect on coexistence in the educational environment to resolve conflicts, and identify comprehensive strategies that contribute to this situation. The study was developed with an interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, with guidelines of a phenomenological investigation, assuming the situation of violence and conflict in the students of a high school in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela, applying as a technique the interview with directors, teachers and students. whose responses were analyzed with the hermeneutic method. The results indicated the presence of violence from a personal point of view, due to the formation of character, personality with its genetic and hereditary load; the family, what they perceive and receive from their parents and environment, the social, structural, cultural, community factor, concluding in the need to apply comprehensive strategies that encompass cooperative learning, communication and affectivity as means of intervention to these conflicts.
