The Department of Chemistry at the University of Tarapaca has a mission to provide undergraduate and graduate students from the region and the country with high-quality education. Our teaching is based on updated methodologies and incorporates modern and innovative technologies.

Our goal is to equip students to become professionals in various fields of chemistry, fostering their awareness of community issues and providing them with the necessary skills and competencies to propose appropriate solutions.

In addition to academic training, we also conduct research and outreach activities that complement our work. These activities are primarily aimed at contributing to the development of the region.
